Honors Program Application

Thank you for your interest in the Honors Program at Puget Sound.

The program is for students interested in a challenging intellectual experience in and outside of the classroom. Honors students complete the college’s core curriculum in a residential cohort, participate in off-campus activities, and write and present a senior thesis.

To be considered for the Honors Program, you must submit additional short answer responses by Jan. 15.

Late applications are accepted on a space-available basis.

All fields are required. Please note you will not be able to save your work on this application; it must be completed in one sitting and cannot be modified after being submitted.

Honors Essays

1. If you could add one book to the reading list for one of the Honors courses, which would it be? Tell us by explaining what it’s meant to you and how you think it might add to the course conversation. (250 words)

2. The Honors Program at Puget Sound is not just about academic achievement; it’s also about developing a strong intellectual and social community within the larger campus community. Please tell us if this prospect appeals to you and why. (250 words)
